Since the early 90s, 20syl has developed a unique universe where acoustic textures and machines coexist. He produced and wrote the five albums of the group Hocus Pocus, including the highly acclaimed “Place 54”, crowned with a gold record. At the same time, he distinguished himself within the C2C collective, winning five world turntablism champion titles, four Victoires de la musique and a double platinum record with the album “Tetra”. 20syl also pursues a career as a producer with acclaimed EPs, “Motifs I & II”, and projects like AllttA, his duo with Californian rapper Mr. J. Medeiros.
Christophe Panzani is a recognized multi-instrumentalist, composer and arranger. He was spotted young by Carla Bley who integrated him into her Big Band. This experience brought him closer to the United States, where he collaborated with musicians such as Michael Rodriguez, Aaron Parks and Dan Tepfer. In France, Christophe is one of the most sought-after musicians on the jazz scene, his versatility has also led him to contribute to the hip-hop scene with Hocus Pocus, Gaël Faye or Khondo. Solo, he has released around ten albums and was awarded a Victoire du Jazz in 2020.
Yael Naim, La Chica and Eric Legnini each bring a unique touch to this album. Yael Naim’s soft and emotional voice sublimates the track ‘Dreams’, while La Chica adds a vibrant and colorful dimension to the track ‘Nuevo Mundo’. Eric Legnini, meanwhile, infuses his talents as a pianist bringing harmonic depth and sophistication to the track ‘Playtime’.
